Last Test Sail Caledonia Yawl
From canoes to container ships, I have been around boats from an early age, I assisted in constructing my first boat when I was six years old, when my father built a plywood spoon bow skiff of 18 ft, structured similar to one created by his grandfather.
Over the past twenty-five years, I have attained a lot of experience in building boats and repairing them. I am a graduate of the two year boat building course at NSCC. After this I proceeded to work for Snyder’s Shipyard for five years, creating and restoring conventional wooden boats of up to 120 ft.
I have spent time with Rosborough boats, Seamasters and was an associate in G&F boat works. In addition, I spent a number of years in the yachting sector as Captain, Mate, Engineer and deckhand. This has given me the know-how and talent needed to take care of your project from beginning to end. Of late, I have been restoring and repairing cedar canvas canoes and also fixing and refinishing row boats. Lately, I have also completed constructing the Caledonia yawl that Iain Oughtred designed.
